Happy Valentine's Day!
Here's a card I made over the weekend to give to my Sister for Valentine's Day!
For starters, I ran my paper through my Big Shot with my Dots Sizzix Impression Folder. I had a package of heart doilies I bought at a locally-owned scrapbook store. The Kraft paper with "LOVE" on it is from Jillibean Soup's Hearty Barley Collection called "Beef Broth." That whole naming your papers after various soups is just weird to me. Regardless, this Beef Broth 12x12 of tags is adorable. Check it out!
I cut out the "LOVE" tag and trimmed it down a little and then outlined it with my white Signo Uni-Ball pen. I took a scrap piece of burlap and tucked it under one of my Prima flowers and added a decorative stick pin. I really loved how it turned out!
I want to send a big shout out to my dear friend (and fellow blogger HERE), "Aunt" Donna and wish her and Uncle Gabby a super Happy Anniversary! Love you guys!
Hope you have a Valentine to love on today and everyday!

Paper Mache Valentine's Mailbox
I picked up one of these paper mache mailboxes at Hobby Lobby a while back.
My hope was to decorate it for Olivia's Valentine box to put all her Valentine's in. I got around to doing it today and am pretty pleased with how it turned out...considering how fast it went and uncomplicated it was.
I used Echo Park's Be Mine Collection. Yes, this is the only Valentine paper I have!
One more "to do" item checked off my Valentine list!
Go get your craft on!

Sour Cream-like Valentine Containers
I've been chomping at the bit to make these ever since I came across the tutorial HERE! I already had all the supplies I needed, except the candy! Finally got some candy. I'm having a couple different Valentine's Day parties at my house, so I need to make a bunch of these as treats for the kids to take home.
I used Echo Park's "Be Mine" paper and stickers, and just used some jute twine around the top.
These are seriously so fast and easy to make! And SO CUTE! Off to make more!

Copy-Cat: Fabric Pom-Pom Necklace
So I found THIS tutorial on how to make an Anthropologie-inspired Pom Pom Bib Necklace. I'm not a jewelry person...can't stand to wear it actually. Except for my wedding ring, of course. So for me to love any kind of necklace, is pretty amazing. I LOVED this necklace!
My sister's birthday was coming up, so I decided to make one for her. I loved the grey in the tutorial, and my sister is all about grey, so that's the color I went looking for at the fabric section in Wal-Mart. Yes, Wal-Mart. We don't have cool stores like Hobby Lobby or Jo-Ann's in our town, so I was really happy Wal-Mart brought back fabric to their stores! It's a pretty dismal selection, but I found just what I was looking for without having to drive 20 minutes to Jo-Ann's in the next town. Yay!
And here's how the necklace turned out.
The lighting is so awful...sorry about that! I had material left over, so I used the same concept except used a bigger piece of felt underneath and made a matching hair clipee.
Can't wait to make a necklace for me! :)
Hope you get a chance to get your craft on this weekend!
