Part 2 - Pinterest - Pinned It, Done It!

Happy Friday Friends!

This is Part 2 of "Pinterest - Pinned It, Done It!"  To see Part 1, go HERE

I LOVED this idea...and I already had everything I needed to get the look.  Love it when that happens!
You can find the tutorial HERE at Crafts Unleashed's blog.

Here's how mine turned out.

I love them!  I can't imagine doing very large ones, though.  It's pretty tedious and time consuming!

I also printed, distress-inked and framed this Fall Subway Art free printout.  So cute!
Go HERE to see how to print your own copy.

On my "Food/Drinks" board you'll find this yummy looking item:
They're Carmel Apple Nut Bars and they're fabulous!  I made them for our Bible Study Group and they were a big hit.  Can't wait to make them again!  Such a great fall dessert!

Once all the new Fall and Christmas papers started coming out, I knew I would need to create a board to pin all my favorites to keep track!  So on my "New Paper Collections I Love" board, I pinned this beauty from My Mind's Eye:
It's their All Is Bright 6x6 paper pad.  Love it!  I just love MME period!  Here's a card I made this morning with it.

I used my new Cavallini Vintage Christmas Paper Tape at the bottom.  Love this paper tape!!
Look at the cute tin it comes in:

That's it for now, folks!  Oh wait, would you do me a favor?  If you don't already "like" my "Pennants and Pinwheels Facebook page, could you do that for me now, please?  Would love to see you there!
THANKS!

Merry & Bright Sparkle Card

Do you have your Christmas cards started?  Done?!  I've got a Christmas Card for you today.
I added some glitter glue around my cut-out ornament to give it some sparkle so I could enter it in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: For the Love of Sparkle.  There's also a little sparkle to the edges of my gold ribbon.

I used my new 6x6 My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland paper.

There's still time to enter the SSS challenge (you have until Sunday).  It's a random drawing for a $50 GC to the SSS store...why wouldn't you?!

My flair says, "Hello."  It's the Attic Lovelies set from Paper Play Studio shown here:
They just came out with some adorable new flair.  You should check it out HERE!

I'm entering this card in the Paper Issues Fallin' for Flair Giveaway HERE.

Happy Halloween Card

Looking at Echo Park's "For the Record 2," you wouldn't automatically think "Halloween!"
But that's just what I ended up using this paper for...to make a Halloween Card.  I love how it turned out.

I've been refusing to buy washi tape (which seems to be all the paper-crafting rage right now), because I was sure it would be one of those addicting/hoarding items.  But while at Target the other day in the office supplies section, I noticed a pack of decorative washi-like tape that had about 4 different yet coordinating colors/designs in it.  So I picked a pack up and thus my obsession begins! :)

This card is being entered in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Tape It Up!  Check it out HERE.  There's still time to enter. It's a random drawing for the winner who receives a $50 gift card to their store!  Sweet!

Hope you get a chance to get your craft on this weekend!

Pinterest--Pinned It, Done It!

I thought I would show some things I not only pinned, but acted upon by making it, baking it or buying it!

First of all, on my "Craft Rooms" board, I pinned this:
Here's the link:  http://kinseygirl.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/12/new-storage.html

I bought one of these and I LOVE it!  My husband was super shocked and stoked that I wanted to go to a hardware store.  :)  Luckily, we have one of the stores Kinsey mentioned in her blog nearby and they had one in stock. Score!

On to the "Food/Drinks" board.  Made this dish for dinner the other night:
It's "Loaded Baked Potato and Buffalo Chicken Casserole" and it was scruptious!  This will definitely be a regular at our dinner table.  Here's the link to the recipe:  http://www.pincookie.com/loaded-baked-potato-and-chicken-casserole/

I LOVE peanut butter!  Especially desserts where the main ingredient is peanut butter.  Here's something that caught my eye and I pinned.
Love how she calls these "holy crap these are amazing cookies!" cookies!  Here's the link:  http://stickygooeycreamychewy.com/2008/01/06/holycraptheseareamazing-cookies/

I was short on corn syrup, unbeknownst to me when I started making them, so mine turned out a little dry and didn't stick together very good, but even so, they were still yummy!  Can't wait to make them again with all the right measurements.  I've got a full bottle of corn syrup just waiting to be opened for this very purpose! :)

Next, on to "Baby Shower Ideas" board.  I'm due around Thanksgiving so I've got baby shower on the brain!  My theme is "baby giraffe."  I wanted to make my own invitations.  Here's the pin where I got my inspiration:
There's no link associated with the pin, just the following caption:  Invites for baby shower for boy by Ashley Kate Designs. Giraffe theme.

I just went off it visually to make my own. (I'm having a boy as well).  Here's my invite:
Loved how they turned out.  They were easy to mass produce, too!

On to my "Fall Decorating/Craft Ideas" board.  Knew I'd be all over this one when I saw it.  It's just like the felt heart I made HERE...only it's a felt pumpkin!

Here's the pinterest one:
Here's the link on how to make it:  http://tatertotsandjello.com/2012/09/great-ideas-fall-projects-2.html

And here's mine:
So fun.  Olivia (my 4-year-old) even helped fold the felt for me...and I didn't even have to redo it before I pinned it! :)

I try not to pin things I don't see myself doing...eventually.  As I was reviewing my boards working on this post, it got me excited to do more of the other things I've got pinned.  I'm sure I'll have another post similar to this one in the near future!
