Define Obsession--Christmas Inchie Cards

So I'm pretty obsessed with these inchie cards.  I made the Thanksgiving one and got an order for 10 of them and as I was making them, I was thinking of all the other occasions that these cards would be great for...birthdays, weddings, baby showers, CHRISTMAS!  And I'm off...I took a few of my favorite Christmas 6x6 pads and went to town on Christmas inchie cards!

My first 2 cards are from my brand new MME Mistletoe Magic 6x6 paper pad.

I added a paper background to the these, instead of adhering the inchies directly on the card itself, to create a more "framed" look.  On the top one, I also added a frame look to the subway art sentiment.

Here's one using Fancy Pants Designs "Home For Christmas" 6x6 paper:

Another one where I adhered the inchies onto the brown paper, which was cut just a smidge smaller than the card.

And one using Carta Bella "So This Is Christmas" 6x6 paper:

All my sentiments and all the edges were done in Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Totally obsessed with this distress ink!

The subway sentiment stamp is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps Subway Series: Holidays.  Love their stamps so much!  I love how you get 3 subway stamps for 3 different holidays in one set!  Need to get their "Basics" and "Occasions" subway stamps so I can do baby showers, weddings, birthdays, thank you's, etc!  :)

A Spooky Card

Good Morning,

We're gettin' our spooky on around here as we go to a couple different Halloween community events today!  Although a 5-year-old bride and 11-month-old monkey aren't really that spooky! :)

Also gettin' my spooky on for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Spooky HERE and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Halloween or Halloween Colours HERE.

I used MME's Happy Haunting.  I used SU Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the letters and punched them out with my circle punch.

Happy Halloween Card

Good Morning,

Halloween is a week from today!  I really enjoy taking my daughter to all the different events for kids around town as Halloween draws near.  Tomorrow we're going to a local library for "Grossclub" where the staff make fun food that might not look appetizing (bloody brownies?), but tastes great (we hope)! :)

Today's card is for the following challenges:
The City Crafter Challenge Blog:  Pumpkin Patch!

All the stamps (leaves, pumpkins, sentiment and bat) were from one stamp set that I have no idea the name of nor who the manufacturer is.  I believe I bought it at Hobby Lobby quite a few years ago.  It's a super fabulous set, though.  It has Halloween theme and Thanksgiving theme stamps.  Very versatile!

I used Authentique "Delightful" 6x6 paper pad and some  Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After I inked my stamp for "Happy Halloween and the bat, I stamped it off on a scrap piece of paper and then stamped my card, for a more faded black.

Christmas Punch Card

Good Morning!

I was checking out my news feed on FB and came across the Jillibean Soup blog with a cute card that I used as my inspiration for this Christmas card which I'll be submitting for the Simon Says Stamp Christmas challenge HERE.  Go HERE and scroll down to the second card to see my inspiration.

Here's my card:

I used Fancy Pants Designs "Home for Christmas" 6x6 paper pad, my 1-1/2 inch scallop circle punch and my 2-inch circle punch.  Add a Christmas tree sticker from another collection, twine and a few pop-dots and there you have it!  Oh, don't forget to ink every possible edge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink! :)

Thanksgiving Inchie Card

Happy Monday!

Today I wanted to do another Thanksgiving-themed card for the City Crafter Challenge HERE.  I was inspired by my bestest crafting buddy, Donna's, inchie card HERE.  So here's what I came up with:

I used We R Memory Keepers "Autumn Splendor" paper.  I've had this 6x6 pad for a few years now and I just keep trying to find big enough pieces of paper to make a card.  I love it so much!  So an inchie card was perfect for all my little scrap pieces.

The stamp is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps and it's their Subway Series: Holidays.  I used my Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the stamp and then traced over the "thanks" part of Thanksgiving with an orange marker to make it stand out more.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Christmas Card #3

I've got another Christmas card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of "Merry Christmas/Holiday" theme.  I used Echo Park's This & That Christmas paper.

I used my Sizzix Holly Swirls embossing folder and went over it with Barn Door distress ink to enhance the embossing.  The image is a sticker from the 12x12 collection kit which I pop-dotted on top of a piece of the patterned paper from the kit.  I finished it off by stamping "Merry Christmas" from SU Sassy Salutations stamp set and pop-dotting it on the side.

Pinned It, Did It Friday - Boo Banner

Happy Friday!

Time for my next installment of "Pinned It, Did It! Friday"  When I saw this adorable Ghostly Halloween Burlap Banner, I knew I had to give it a whirl!  And I already had all the supplies I needed...even better!
It took me a couple weeks, due to constant interruptions, but I'm a mom, so that's to be expected!  But here's what I ended up with:

Simon Say Stamp Challenge Christmas Card #1

It's time for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge, which is Christmas/Holiday!  Yay for homemade Christmas cards!

I got out one of my most favorite Christmas collections...Echo Park's This & That Christmas!  I used the 12x12 Collection Kit.

I used my Sizzix Sheet Music embossing folder, but it didn't show up very well on the patterned paper, so I took some Vintage Photo distress ink and inked up the lines of music and love how it turned out!  I stamped "Merry Christmas" with my SU Sassy Salutations stamp on a separate piece of paper and pop-dotted it on the side.

I plan on entering a few more cards for the challenge (you can enter up to 5), so get ready for a few more Christmas card posts! :)

Pinned It, Did It Friday!

I'm going to try to do a regular "Pinned It, Did It" every Friday.  Hopefully this will keep me crafting and blogging.  And we are right smack in the middle of my favorite crafting/decorating time of the year (fall/Halloween, winter/Christmas), so with all the Pinterest inspiration out there, hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it!

My first pin is all over the boards...these super cute and super easy Mummy Jars!  And lo and behold I had everything I needed on hand already, so it was a breeze!  So easy, I made a whole little mummy jar family!
