Today's inspiration comes from the Echo Park's Blog where they were featuring Design Team Expert Linda Auclair's "Creating Banners" Layout HERE. I already knew about the square punch technique to make your banner ends, but in case you haven't heard it, invest in a 1" square punch and get perfect banner tails!
It inspired me to create the following 2 cards:
I used My Mind's Eye "Blush" 6x6 Paper Pad for both cards. I'm really tearing through this pad. Love it! On the second card, I ran each banner through my Big Shot using a different textured impression/embossing folder on each one. I tried to make the banners look "wavy." Not sure if that comes through in the photo or not.
Go get your craft on and make some fun banners!
Cheryl
Supplies Used:
the "wavy" definitely comes through. these are gorgeous! and I never thought of using my square punch that way but I love how it looks.
ReplyDeleteI also didn't know about using the 1" punch for banner ends. I love the cards.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking we learned that at one of Angela's workshops. That's where I remember hearing about it.
DeleteCheryl: You've really inspired me here. I bought this paper pad at Michaels with a 50% off coupon, and your cute cards give me some really great ideas. Thanks for sharing your pretty work.
